The new designed 76° V6 engine is especially designed to maximally benefit from the High Pressure Direct Injection system, resulting in breath-taking performance in the most frequently used rpm ranges.
Fuel is pressurised to 48 bar before it is injected directly into the combustion chamber, as a result a much finer fuel atomisation is achieved, giving optimum combustion, greater fuel economy, cleaner emisson and higher performance levels.
Yamaha's HPDI system is equipped with six independent injectors that open inwardly resulting in no protrusion in to the combustion chamber, and therefor an undisturbed fuel flow for smoother running and improved fuel economy.
Allows two batteries to be charged simultaneously, making sure that there is always sufficient electrical power available even when using multiple electrical accessories. |
